The Lawyer’s
Helper Services
Through customized service agreements for every client based on their unique needs, I identify ways to help overloaded transactional attorneys. Whether on a project or ongoing basis, I can provide back-office support, increase legal work output, develop needed processes or systems, and free up time for attorneys to generate more business or explore other interests.

I do not meet with an attorney’s or practice’s clients, and I'm not interested in building my own legal client base; my sole mission is to help other transactional lawyers make their practices as successful as possible.

Every client has different challenges. I will learn about your practice, where you or your firm could use some experienced help, then create a plan and budget that works for you. I offer a high level of knowledge and skill to help you get the work done.

I am an Iowa licensed attorney, the sole member of Van Houten Law Firm, PLC., and can work as a contractor in any other state; the ethics of such arrangements will be addressed in the Service Agreement. Additionally, thanks to modern technology, I can work remotely just as efficiently as I can on site.
